Forecast.Cash is a free lifetime cashflow planning tool. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What Data We Collect

• Account information: Your email address and an encrypted password, used solely for authentication.
• Plan data: The financial information you enter (income, spending, assets, liabilities, assumptions). This is stored in our database so you can access your plans across sessions.
• Usage data: Basic analytics such as page views and feature usage to help us improve the service. We do not track individual browsing activity.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the cashflow planning service — your data is used solely to generate your financial projections.
• To save and retrieve your plans when you sign in.
• To improve the service based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (powered by PostgreSQL), hosted within the EU. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to the database is restricted and protected by row-level security policies.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your financial information is never disclosed to advertisers, data brokers, or any external organisations.

If you choose to use the “Share with Adviser” feature, a read-only link to your plan will be created. This link is accessible to anyone you share it with and expires automatically after 30 days. You can revoke access at any time.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only — specifically, session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right of access: You can view all the data we hold about you within the application.
• Right to rectification: You can update your plan data at any time through the wizard.
• Right to erasure: You can delete your plans from the dashboard. To delete your entire account and all associated data, please contact us at the email address below.
• Right to data portability: You can download a PDF report of your plan data at any time.

Data Retention

Your plan data is retained for as long as your account is active. Shared links expire automatically after 30 days. If you delete your account, all associated data (plans, shares, and profile information) will be permanently removed within 30 days.
